To improve local amenities for youth in the town, by reinvigorating the existing skate park with new designs, additional furniture, solar lighting and bike racks. A key focus of this project was to encourage safer behaviour and skating away from the road.
- Worked with local primary and high school students, parents and community members to gather ideas for improving the skate park and creating a safer, more welcoming youth space.
- Reimagined the existing skate park with new designs, upgraded ramps, additional seating, solar lighting and bike racks to encourage skating away from nearby roads and improve safety.
- Collaborated with local contributors including Daz, who helped turn community ideas into reality, and Gwenda, who supported preparation works and painting alongside local young people.
- Delivered the project through strong community participation and support from the RAC WA Town Teams Program, culminating in a community launch event to celebrate the revitalised space.
