Moora Street Arts Project Stage 1

To install footpath art by local indigenous artist, and community design and install of signage and bollards at the intersection of Midlands Road and Dandaragan Streets as a traffic calming feature and increase road safety for pedestrians. The location of the project will be the corner of Midlands Road and Dandaragan Streets. There are particular streets in Moora that still allow for the thoroughfare of trucks, even though they are a high pedestrian and traffic flow area. The Shire would like to apply for the Streets Alive grant to deliver traffic calming and road safety initiatives on a cross section of the main streets.

6 local indigenous artists were engaged to paint the murals, these are the first indigenous murals in town.

Total project cost: $5,000.00 Fund: Streets Alive Stream 1, 2024
