Local residents built two compatible gardens from scratch: one to promote food production and recycling; and the other to encourage people to rest and recharge in a peaceful setting with larger fruit trees and vegetables, as well as flowering plants and shrubs.
CLRA cleared the land, planned and installed infrastructure like paths, reticulation, seats and artwork. The CLRA also maintain a wide variety of edible and ornamental species of plants.

- Built ongoing community momentum by regularly facilitating environmental activities, strengthening local partnerships and using community-led action to support long-term sustainability, biodiversity protection and stewardship of local spaces
