Bringing A Pop of Colour to Karratha Gully Bridges

Karratha’s K-POP Town Team splashed some colour around to transform Millars Well pedestrian bridge into something special! Local residents, artists, businesses and community groups gathered to make the area pop with some creative colourful design capturing the essence of the area. Over 60 community members joined the project that aimed to unite neighbours by creatively activating shared spaces. K-POP’s very first project was supported by RAC WA Connecting Communities Fund, BLB Creative, City of Karratha, Wangaba Roebourne Arts Group, local businesses and community volunteers.
  • Brought together local residents, artists, businesses, and community groups to reimagine the Millars Well pedestrian bridge as a vibrant and welcoming shared space.
  • Invited the wider community to participate in a free, family-friendly collaborative art project designed to encourage creativity, connection, and neighbourhood pride.
  • Worked with local artists and creative partners to develop colourful designs that reflected the identity and spirit of Karratha and the surrounding area.
  • Secured support from RAC WA Connecting Communities Fund, BLB Creative, the City of Karratha, Wangaba Roebourne Arts Group, local businesses, and volunteers to help deliver the project.
  • Activated the space through hands-on community participation, turning an everyday pedestrian bridge into a lively public artwork that strengthened local connections and community ownership.
