Historic Heart organised and helped to fund the installation of 32 new colourful planter boxes, painted by West Australian artists and planted with WA native plants. The aim was to signify new energy and change in the neighbourhood. The planters were cared for by long-term unemployed people through Green World Revolution.
Historic Heart Perth Inc brought this project to life through strong collaboration with local government, businesses, artists and community partners. With support from the City of Perth, the WA Government, local landowners and businesses, the team coordinated and helped fund the installation of 32 colourful planter boxes throughout the neighbourhood. West Australian artists were engaged to paint each planter, while WA native plants were selected to bring vibrancy and a renewed sense of energy to the area. Ongoing care and maintenance were delivered through a partnership with Green World Revolution, creating opportunities for long-term unemployed people to be involved in improving and caring for the neighbourhood.
