The Angelo Street Party brought the heart of South Perth back to life, reviving a much-loved local street festival after a seven-year hiatus. Led by local residents and the Angelo Street Town Team, the event celebrated the best of the neighbourhood with local food, live music, cultural performances, family-friendly activities and community connection along Angelo Street.
  • Revived a much-loved local event after community conversations about bringing the Angelo Street festival back to South Perth.
  • Formed the Angelo Street Town Team, with local residents coming together to lead the vision and help make the event happen.
  • Built support through local partnerships, working with the City of South Perth, Town Team Movement, local businesses, community groups and volunteers.
  • Secured funding and in-kind support through the City of South Perth’s Precinct Activation Funding, helping with event delivery, traffic signage, clean-ups and marketing.
  • Invited local businesses, food stalls and community groups to take part and showcase the best of Angelo Street and the wider South Perth community.
  • Created a lively street celebration featuring local food, live music, cultural performances and family-friendly activities.
  • Activated Angelo Street as a community space, encouraging people to gather, connect and experience the street in a new way.
  • Celebrated local pride and community ownership, showing what is possible when residents, businesses and local government work together.
