- Purpose & how to use: A six-step process for narrowing a brainstormed list of ideas down to a manageable set of priorities, using an Easy/Hard × Low/High Impact matrix. Use it after a brainstorm or workshop.
- Who it's for: Whole Town Teams (or working groups) deciding what to do next.
- Key points: The process starts with free-flowing brainstorming (sticky notes work best), then asks the team to weigh each idea against capability, capacity, cost, time, paperwork, dependencies, vision-fit, community impact, visibility, relationships and even fun. Ideas go onto a 2×2 matrix, the group discusses and adjusts, and a small set of priorities emerges — though deprioritised ideas are kept for later, and the whole process can be adapted to suit the team.
