- Purpose & how to use: A guide based on South Freo Corner Pocket's experience of running a porch-based mini-music-festival. Use it for an easy, low-cost neighbourhood activation.
- Who it's for: Neighbours, residents and Town Team starters wanting a simple street-scale event.
- Key points: The idea is to use front porches, verandahs or yards as small stages for music, theatre or storytelling. Brainstorm with neighbours, divide up roles, inform council early but reassure them it's small, then door-knock to collect signatures of support. Performances are short (around 30 minutes) and quiet (acoustic, with about 30m or two-house spacing), participating houses are marked with balloons, and a WhatsApp group keeps things on schedule on the day. A sample Letter of Support to neighbours is included.
