Key points: ACT teams need at least five members and apply online via Access Canberra, after reserving a name, setting objects, choosing rules and nominating a public officer plus a committee of at least three. The one-off online fee is around $193, the AGM must happen within five months of financial year-end, and an annual return is due within six months. Small associations (under $400k turnover and fewer than 1,000 members) don't need a formal audit, and committee members must disclose any pecuniary interests.
